Februrary 5th, 2022 – Maple Lake

Darkhouse Spearing: Smaller northerns and those in the 22″-26″ range seem to have been coming through during all daylight hours in both the 9 foot and 10 1/2 foot locations. Larger northerns of 30″+ seem to like roaming through around the 1:30pm time. Doesn’t seem to be much preference for what brings them in as a red & white decoy, red & white or gold spoon under a turner, and large sucker minnows have all brought them in.

Walleye: Haven’t target them much this week as I’ve spent most of my time in the darkhouse but they swim through hugging the bottom here and there without much interest.

Panfish: Schools of crappie and sunfish have been making their way through around an hour before sunset and on at the 10 1/2 foot location.
